Hello everyone,

Today is day 4 and I’m so proud of myself! I have stuck with my diet and have not cheated! My will-power is at its highest! You should see all the holiday desserts in our employee lounge and I have NOT touched any of it! I am determined to make this a new lifestyle. I know my family will be healthier and Don and I will be showing our children how to eat right.

Since I didn’t post yesterday, I’ll tell you how my day went. I had to be at work early so I rode the bike first thing on an empty stomach. I burned 150 calories for a 6 mile ride. My sweet husband made breakfast for me while I was getting ready for work. He made me a breakfast burrito with a little bit of refried beans and one egg on a wheat tortilla. The wheat tortillas are surprisingly very good! I also had a glass orange flavored water.

I timed my lunch break so that I would have 2 hours left to work after having my lunch. For lunch I had a shake and a banana. I have been taking 2 – 16.9 oz water bottles to work and try to drink them both before my shift ends. That way I don’t get dehydrated when I’m at work.

Since I got off work at 4:30 pm, Don and I both had a cup of green tea to curb our appetite while we made dinner. It also helps us stick to eating small portions instead of trying to “control” our portions when we are starving!

For dinner we had a ground turkey patty, a half of a cup of steamed rice and a carrot and pea blend. It was SO good! Around 9 pm, we had a shake and about 30 minutes before bed we had a small box of raisins.

I slept MUCH better last night! I only got up twice to use the bathroom and I also think my body is starting to get tired from the exercising! I woke up sore for the first time this morning so I decided to skip my bike workout today and give my muscles a chance to recover.

This morning for breakfast I had a small bowl of oatmeal and a banana with a small glass of fruit punch flavored water.

For lunch I had our dinner leftovers from the night before. I had a ground turkey patty, a half of a cup steamed rice, peas and carrots and water to drink.

For dinner we tried something new and it was DELICIOUS!! I made wheat pasta twists with sauted shrimp in a margarine, chopped garlic clove and paprika sauce. We didn’t use a lot of margarine, just enough to cover the shimp. We also steamed a stir fry mix of veggies. We put a little bit of sauce in the bowls, just enough to coat the pasta and veggies. It was a hit! Everyone liked it!

We will have a shake soon and then a small box of raisins 30 minutes before bed.

Well, I’m proud that we have stuck with it! I am actually looking forward to continuing on this journey!

Dream, Believe & Achieve!
